I didn't know he offered a horn relay kit. He makes good stuff, I'll have to order one. My horn sounds like a sick goat.

In reply to # 4781002 by Flitzer 72 MGB Roadster. I installed the "B Solutions" horn relay kit today. Excellent kit, easy instructions and it did not take very long. It may be in my mind but the horns sound a lot better and louder. Thanks Bruce. Joe

I’m not familiar with B Solutions or the horn kit you reference. Could you provide a link ?

I installed one of these in place of the stock MGB horns. The car is now 3 lbs lighter…

Horn Kit, 12V 150db Car Air Horn... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKLKPXYY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

This bolted right into the stock holes in the wheel well. I put a couple nylon standoffs behind it, mounted with #6 metric bolts.

Mounted it on the drivers side to provide clearance between the trumpets and front grill.

For B solutions, riley1489 is the man. He has an add in the BST in the mg tag.

Getting close here to being able to get the B out... another week hopefully!

Had a fun drive today after doing some fun work on the MGB, & after implementing the Classic Gold brake pad "Bed-In" procedure.
I had wonderful brakes, wonderful front lever shock damping, sexy wheels, and a smile
I wanted to enjoy working on the car so I really didn't make a bonafide video, more like a pictorial. After all, how many brake pad videos can one watch? - lol. More work ahead !

Broke it.
Cruising down the hill from home, and he backed out of the driveway right in front of me.
Really unpleasant watching it coming and knowing there is nothing you can do.

It's not a car...It's an Adventure! (apologies to Casey Ryback)

Drove my MGB today. Happily, no incidents of any kind. As the other motorists become crazier, and my car (and me) becomes older, this is a major accomplishment.

Wish I drove my MG but instead got lost further down the rabbit hole.. Actually I replaced the capping on the rear guard, a job I didn’t need doing until I realised it didn’t have one.

Hello Kim from New York,

So sorry to see and hear this sad news, but most important is that you are okay. Now you have a new project, getting her back on the road.

Dion

Well Rob, I have no idea what you are talking about, as far as capping and rear guard, but that sure is a beautiful MGB body. I'll trade you my rust holes - lol.
Good luck with this project. Can't wait to see her when she's all done up and pretty.

My heart goes out to you. I know what you're going through and it sucks. I didn't have the displeasure of watching it happen as someone blew through a red light so fast that I felt it rather than watched it. Good luck going forward.

I was addicted to the hokey pokey but I turned myself around.

Ouch! I hope you're OK — that must have been a considerable impact. I have had the same thing happen to me, in an ancient Dodge Dart with drum brakes, in the rain, when someone shot out of a commercial driveway without looking — and then stopped. All I could do is choose where exactly to hit them.... I mercifully avoided the driver's door.

Yesterday, seats both recovered (not in one day), driver's seat installed, cockpit trip installed, driver's side carpet, firewall and door panel with door cap. Passenger side next.
My goal is to finish passenger side and THEN THE NEW TOP to have the "B" ready for trailering to OUR new home in Missouri by May 15! Waiting for the warm Minnesota sun to stay out to warm up the new top for fitting.

What did you use for the cockpit strip?

Gary, I stripped the old metal, sprayed 3M77 adhesive and applied a Tan vinyl that was part of the interior kit I purchased fro Moss Motors.
