Good friend Gary Davidson passed away 16 years ago. I have now tracked down his brochure etc collection and am sorting through the stuff. Lots of it....will take awhile. Note release date on 1963 MGB photo.

Law of Logical Argument - Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about.

"Anyone with an intense emotional interest in a subject loses the ability to observe it objectively: You selectively perceive events. You ignore data and facts that disagree with your main philosophy. Even your memory works to fool you, as you selectively retain what you believe in, and subtly mask any memories that might conflict."

I met Gary at the UML Summer Party in 1985 when the MGC was the featured model.

He drove his black C/GT from California to Michigan for the event.

Black on Black automatic. Real nice car....probably one of the best. He sold the car....went to an English collector in 1995.

1968 MGB Purchased already dis-assembled but which is largely back together so I'm a lot less ignorant.

Lloyd,
These are quality adverts. thumbs up
So do we think MG was aiming for the female market share segment or adding some 'sizzle' to the brochures. winking smiley

In the Midget flyer picture I took my eyes away from the 'cold weather indicator' long enough to notice it is the round wheel arch Midget model being promoted. I do not like a lot of the Leyland 'embellishments' but the round wheel arch I like!

At the risk of going off point... , the photo of the MG parked on bridge would appear to have been taken in Toronto. The bridge crosses the Don River by Bayview & Don Mills, and is now part of the Taylor Creek Park. Here is a link from google showing the bridge:
