Don’t know if it’s the lighting but it looks yellowish in the first pic and unbelievably clean in the next two pics. Looks incredible.
Are you venting the valve cover with the oil fill cap?
If so, I like that look better than the elbow sticking out the back on the factory cover.

Didn't need to. It comes down to how you position the clamp, where the worm bolt is.

Yes, it was lighting and probably some editing. Yes venting from the cap. I have had that aloy valve cove sing 1985, bought it for the Huffaker MGB race car, then it came back to me in 2005 when I restored it for a customer, and we used a yellow zinc plated stock tin cover because that was what Huffaker did back in the day, the custome gave me back the alloy cover. It had some scratches on it, so I filled them with epoxy and did a black wrinkle coat finish to it, used it later on my 67 GT street car, then took it off before I sold it, then now got it on this 71 MGB. Me and that valve cover go back 38 years, LOL.

Where's the Bugeye?
It's mostly done. Got to do a few tweaks to do to it tomorrow, and then it should be able to join the MGB on Tuesday to go to the local car club meeting. Here it is..
