As Fred mentioned, the radiator hose clamps were of the wire type design. The tightening screw for this style of clamp was a domed slotted head. Not the hex drive type with a slotted head as often seen on cars. The heater hoses were band clamps and not wire clamps. However, the original band clamps had an interrupted slot going about 120 degrees around the clamp. It is very rare to see an MGA with the correct heater hose clamps. The valve cover hose clamp consisted of a twisted wire clamp. Todd carries this correct clamp. I am not sure about the other vendors. It is rare to see this correct clamp on MGA's. Usually you see the standard corbin style clamp that is readily available in a hardware store. One last detail is the clamp for the 4" heater intake hose. Most often this clamp is either missing or is of the cotter pin variety that is incorrect for the MGA. The original heater hose clamp was a hex head with a slot going through it. Todd has just recently started to carry this piece to retrofit into the previously supplied clamp with the cotter pin style. Please note that I posted a few pictures of the correct clamps. Don
Look sharply after your own thoughts. They come unlooked for, like the morning dove upon your window sill, and, if you turn to your usual task, disappear; and you shall never find that perception again; never, I say-but perhaps years, ages, and I know not what events and worlds my lie between you and its return.
