Registry: 1958 Austin-Healey Bugeye Sprite

Does it retain the very early BE features? Mainly the early body strengthening parts etc

Good morning Eric,My car has not been structurally modified from original. It retains the 4 triangular reinforcement gussets in the boot supporting that floor to the inner wheel wells.The small gussets at the bottom of the "B" pillar to the sill plate are there.It has the single vertical (triangular) support in front of each footwell.It has the not very substantial radiator mounting brackets.It has the leaky, but beautiful 9-pin windscreen.The bonnet is from a '59 and has the air directing ducting behind the grill opening. The original had no ducting at all and was very different as to cooling. This was my race car so cooling was a bit important. I wish I still had the original bonnet.The paint and interior are as original.Returning the car from race prepared to the street was an interesting process. I got the Heritage Papers which indicated the car was the 63rd one built. I had no idea! Therefore I tried to keep it as original as possible.
