Tire size chart

Came across this tire size information chart stuffed into one of my books. Not sure how accurate it is. Not sure who to give the credit to, but it may help someone. Ron

Still works that way.
185 mm = tire width
Ratio4 = the sidewall is 70% as big as the tire width
14 = wheel diameter
Also, rolling diameter is the key to watch when switching sizediameter, try to maintain the OEM RD, for example, when people go to a 15"x6" , I recommend 195/60/15, it is almost the exact same RD as 185/70/14. If go well below the rolling diameter, the tire looks too small, if you go too big it looks like 4WD. The goal is to change a tire size/diameter, but not change your rolling diameter, or not by much.
