I am restoring a '66 MGB Roadster. Does anybody know the correct routing of the wiring loom as it passes the voltage regulator?
My roadster has been in the family almost all its life and I am 99.9% sure that the wiring is just as it came from the factory. My loom is BELOW the voltage regulator, however I have seen many images of MK1 MGB's that have the wiring loom routed BEHIND the regulator mounting plate.
It would be nice to know how the factory routed the loom. Thanks in advance, Alex.

My Australian production car's harness runs behind the regulator. I've had the car since it was four years old and I've no reason to presume the wiring was fiddled with before I bought it, and it certainly hasn't been touched since. I've been treating some rust around here, so here's a photo with the regulator folded down. (Some of the grey cloth wrapping disintegrated as I was cleaning around here.)
