I am looking at replacing my windshield wiper blades. I have found two different brands being advertised: Trico and Bosch. Which is the better brand? So far I have read a couple reviews and they said the Bosch was good. Has anyone used a Trico?
Thanks

Let's see, each is made of rubber . . . Can there be a significant difference between wiper blades? I mean, after all, if one doesn't work so well, you throw it out and use the other. They're pretty cheap. Maybe a web site like the oil filter test site? Wiper blades ranked in order of quality? Well, okay then, I'd at least look at it, I suppose.

I need three of them and it will cost over $26.00 for them. I am interested in finding ones that are easy to install and do a good job.

My local Advance Autoparts has 10" blades with the correct fitting on the shelf, they are used for a few rear wipers on some smaller minivans.

Bosch and Trico both suck. They're really not much better than the ones Moss sells, which IMO are the worst of the lot.
Mike's right about getting the smaller blades at Advance Auto (AutoZone, too). I'm using 11" blades right now, trimmed 1/2" at each end, because they were out of 10" blades at the time, but they are available.

Uh, there is another consideration, and that is that each maker has varying product lines. Some in each are better than others. Some are simply a redux of the original designs for OE replacement. Others can progress from "advanced" to relatively "exotic" (at least, if you believe their advertising).
If you look at the full spectrum of what is out there, it is pretty easy to see that the designs can vary significantly, some better in some applications than others. Some have blade support that is minimal and may not apply pressure where it is needed at the extremes of the wiping action on a given windshield, others have systems of almost continuous support, and others still have changed little since the 1930s.
I ran with genuine Tex blades for years, because they were OE and seemed to work well. Then I started to experiment on my GT. In a two wiper set up, I liked the Bosch fairly well, and now find that the Rain-X do as good or better. But in between each of those there have been many experiments that didn't work out - for my car and the piece of glass in the windshield. I found it interesting that even a difference in make of glass could make a difference, but it seems to. What worked well on Safelite windshields, didn't work out as well on a Triplex. And what worked well on either of those were just ok on the korean glass in my wife's Sonata. I would think that they would not be a significant factor, but the empirical reality is that they were.
Selecting a good wiper has been for me, as much luck in getting a good match up of rubber and glass as it has been the design of any given maker's blades. FWIW.

I have the original blades (the rubber part has be replaced) and the original windshield. I have been using Rainx on it and it seems to help the blades move over the windshield. I was hoping that getting new blades would make them work better. I put new blades on my other car and it improved how they worked. Probably removing the wiper motor and cleaning it out would help a lot but that would mean that my car would not be available for driving. I am trying to limit the down time and get some improvement on the wipers. For years, my car never went out in the rain because I did not have a top. Now that I have a top, I hope to use it more. I am kind of leaning to the Bosch blades. The prices that I see for new blades run from $6.95 Bosch to $20.30 Anco per blade. I am trying to determine if getting the most expensive blade is worth the extra money.
If anyone has used the Anco blades, can you tell me they perform.
Thanks.

Just a word in defence of Moss - I've have a set of their blades on the car for about 3 years - they've been fine.

I tried to find wiper blades on Moss and could not find any. I used the Moss search and it did not show any wiper blade. Please provide a link and I will consider them.
Thanks.

I tried to get blades from advance this weekend but the arm clips were too narrow to hold the blade - do these come with an adapter for the thin arms on my 71?
