Hi, According to the Moss catalogue Inca Yellow was used in 1978-79 and is quite a deep rich colour. I have a late 1980 B In Snapdragon Yellow which is much lighter and was only used for a few months, before the demise of the factory.

So if post #12 is Inca Yellow this would seem to be a fairly close approximation (or are my eyes deceiving me?).
Faux Inca Yellow?
Faux Inca Yellow?

PAUL: Well not YELLOW, but PONDER THIS' Clear back in 1990, when I painted my MGBGT. (I do my own paintwork), I WANTED a Dark kind of Burgundy. I settled on "Almenden Red", I think it was a "Chrysler" color. I shot a sample panel and was not real happy because it was too REDDISH Looking. SOOOO, I ended up using a FLAT BLACK" sealer over the Primer. In the Clear Coat, I put in a bit of "Burgundy" Pearl. A color can change a LOT, depending on that the color of the Primer or Sealer happens to be. Experiment a little until you are happy. It's too expensive to really HATE it when it's done.

Yes I know this sounds like a crazy question and the answer is "Yellow" BUT having now seen 3 cars that are supposedly Inca Yellow (BLVC207) that did not look at all alike I am very concerned what I will get when I turn my car in for painting.
I have seen a very bright yellow such as the example on the "Teglerizer" site, A slightly muted yellow, and a car that to me that was so orange it almost looked brown.
So if anybody has painted their car this colour I would love to know what it really looks like and if possible post a photo or two. And yes I know I am now being very demanding, what brand of paint and colour code was used?
Thanks
Paul

Inca yellow is one of those colours that really changes with the ambient light.
Both these photos were taken on the same day.
