"The Chesapeake Classic Car Club's Annual Spring Show on Sunday, April 30 will help recognize the 100th anniversay of the Easton Police Department." (Kent County News, 4/28/06)
So, in addition to traditional antique cars there will be more than 100 vintage police cars spanning many decades. It is a popular vote throphy show with 32 classes of cars--British being one, I'm told. Show runs from 9 am to 4 pm with registration till noon when judging starts. Show will be held on the grounds of the Easton Elks Lodge at 502 Dutchmans Lane. There is no admission to the public to view the cars and entry fee for cars is $12.00 day of show. There will be a DJ and refreshments for sale. More info--Bruce Perry 410-822-6242.
Kathy and I will be driving an hour down the country roads connecting our two little towns, with the Twin Cam purring under us in the cool, April morning air promised. We likely won't stay all day for the trophy presentations but it sounds like the show could be pretty neat. A little different than the "All British" scene. I bet there willl be a lot of American muscle but Easton has BIG BUCKS and I'll bet there will be a number of very nice, rare vintage models on display. Hope to see you there! All roads around the area are muy, muy LBC friendly.
Easton's about an hour from Annapolis. 90 minutes from most of Baltimore and many Delaware locations. From the west, go over Bay bridge (Rt 50 East, straight to Easton) Turn right onto Dutchmans Lane. From Slower Delaware, OC, Salisbury, etc go west on 50. From Wilmington, Middletown, Newark, etc--301 to 50 East
Safety Fast!

Ya gotta be joking Paul---I was just there a few weeks ago---life just ain't fair
"1964 MGB" (Kirby) All original pull handle MGB, 3 main, with overdrive, but a daily driver with all the dents and dings to prove it -- Titled in 1965~~
"1980 MGB" (Robbie) Even though it's a RB it does have overdrive, a Weber Carb, and is my favorite MGB. We have logged thousands of happy miles together ~~

Gave the contact person, Bruce a call tonight and in fact, there will not be a seperate British class. They're lumping all foreign cars together or maybe something by year...seemed vague if anyones interested. We just going to gawk at the vintage police cars and other classic road iron. Easton's a pretty town and we know the less-than-secondary roads there and back--good day for a drive with a high of 65 predicted for Sunday. Car estimate per Bruce as of tonight--450 to 500. Wow! That's hugh. Sorry you're gonna miss it, Naomi.
Cheers,
Paul

Easton is a beautiful old town. I believe the court house was built in the eary 1700's. One can actually walk down the street at night without fear of getting knocked in the head. I love the place and my Daugher and Son-in-Law live there. Just called them a short while ago and told them about the car show. Of course they already knew
Paul it just ain't fair that you get to go and I don't
