Hello all,
I need a recommendation for a competent, honest, fair, etc. service and repair shop in Portland, Oregon. Some things I can do but others I would like to turn over to a good shop. So, any recommendations would be most welcomed.
Also, any ideas about a good paint and body shop?
Thanks for your advice. Rob

Also check out Harolds Garage.

Awe Shucky dern James -- haw's yur Shine com'n along anyhow?
Anyway, I digress, I do know how to do the grease jobs, just chose not to do it...easier and safer at a garage, versue squirming underneath my car in my garage in the garage - doesn't sound very civilized.
British Auto Works. Roger is a very competent mechanic there. And when you meet Stan - tell him I sent you, he'll be so pleased.
James wrote : Danthefitman lives there, yo. I heard he can adjust his own valves now.
He doesn't know how to do the grease jobs but he knows of a great shop that will do them too.

I had my body work and paint done by a guy in Washougal, WA. Not that far from you. I'm pretty picky, but I was satisfied with his work. Here's a picture of it in my garage. It's dirty, with some smudges, dust and pollen on it, but you can get an idea.

Well, thanks everyone this is real good info. Surprised that it is so evenly divided amongst the Portland lbc mechanics too. I thought that there might be one that pretty much everyone recommended with warnings about this place or that place.
Good to know there are some choices.
Regards, Rob
