Hi all - I recently bought some parts from Moss, and as expected, great service. On another order for some wheel cylinders, I shopped a bit for price and I found a killer deal at a place called the B-Hive in South Carolina. Heard about them on this forum - guy was really polite, and gave me a great deal - parts arrived quickly and were excellent and well packed. On top of that, I got a refund from them in a separate letter - they had charged me too much it said, and refunded me like $7.00 as the parts were found to be on sale! Honesty and integrity, I like that! Will definitely buy from the B-Hive again. Chuck in Aiken, SC

Gordon's great, nice guy on the phone, prompt and conscientious as a businessman. I would gladly recommend him to anyone looking for MG parts.

"1964 MGB" (Kirby) All original pull handle MGB, 3 main, with overdrive, but a daily driver with all the dents and dings to prove it -- Titled in 1965~~
"1980 MGB" (Robbie) Even though it's a RB it does have overdrive, a Weber Carb, and is my favorite MGB. We have logged thousands of happy miles together ~~

Gordon saved my bacon way back in 1977. Some ass in a Pinto on I-85 south of Greenville changed lanes in front of me and then slammed on his brakes. I hit the SOB and he took off leaving me with a radiator chewed up by the cooling fan and I had to be back home in Statesville by the following evening. My mom came and towed me to her house in Belton and then drove me to Gordon's place. It was late on a Saturday and he had closed up for the day but he opened back up. He didn't have a rad for my '64 but sold me a used radiator, diaphragm and thermostat housing from a '68 for $20 which was dirt cheap. I was in a postion where I would have paid a heck of a lot more than that to get going but he was a real sport.

Yep Gordon is a good one. Gordon takes care of me, all I have to mention I might need something he doesn't even stock, and next thing you know, he's got it in stock for me. Whenever I've wanted better quailty parts than the standard offerings, Gordon has responded, hard to beat a guy that gives you service like that. Oh, and the #1 reason to buy from Gordon, he knows these cars as well as anyone, his knowledge goes well beyond a part number.

I echo all the above - and will add that Gordon will not knowingly sell an inferior quality part. If it doesn't meet his (high) standard - he will not sell it!
I can also highly recommend his rebuilt swivel axles - excellent quality and VERY fair price! Gordon has them done locally, so you know the QC is good.

Gordon at the B Hive has always given great service and he carries a nice selection of OEM parts in addition to the less expensive "cloned" stuff.
I got a genuine OEM heater valve from him recently and it is far superior to the leaky aftermarket one it replaced, for a very minor (about $10) price difference.

Here's some examples of Gordon dedication and listening to his customers
I complained that the el-cheapo gasket sets didn't fit properly, he starting stocking Payen.
I wanted better bearings for street engines, he started stocking Kings
He found ut that I had imported vernier timing gear sets and harmonc balancers from Austraila for Spridget, he ask me where I got these and did they have them for MGB, he now stocks them.
I complained that Moss prices on valve retianers and keepers was out of line, he started stocking both at much reduced price.
I had trouble with brake light switch I got form him, he quit stocking that type, oh refunded me for the bad one, no questions asked, other than to educate himself on what trouble I had with the part.
Other thing is Gordon has turned wrench for a living in the past, and when he gives you advice on a job, you know you'e getting form a guy who has stood where you are standing now. For example, when we recnetly re-did my seat, he told me the early repalcement diaphrams would pull our whre the hooks went in, and if i was willing to drill a few holes in the frame I would be better off to use the later diaphram because it was a more quaility product, he was dead on.
He told me the best way to do the single bttery conversion, even no it netted him no sales, his advice was spot on and made the job alot easier.
I could go and on, but you get the idea, Gordon is cut above most, not only does he know his parts, he knows how to educate you to do the job the best way, not something you see these days with parts guys, you either a parts guy or mechanic mostly these days, Gordon is both, and speaks from experience.
