Question fellow MGB drivers,
1. I just got talked into Lucas upper cylinder lubricant and Injector cleaner, i was told at the auto parts store at the cash reg. that this was the best, I told them i have a weber carb. and they said this would be perfect to clean out the carb....
2. I have also used sea foam......at times
3. I also used Marvel Mystery oil....at times great stuff added to the gas tank...
Can anyone tell me out of these three, which ones have you seen better performance....as an additive?
My MGB is awaiting my arrival, sun is out, temp is in the 70's, top is down and we are off...

Lucas makes IMHO the best oil additive. It is excellent at helping to maintain good oil pressure and its lubrication properties seem to be very good as well, particularly in an older engine.
Seafoam is a better cleaner/fuel system additive. I run it in all my marine I/Os and outboards pretty regularly and it seem to help keep them running well, particularly with some of today's poor fuel. It is also a better fuel stabilizer for storage than Stabil as far as I'm concerned.
Opinions may vary..

Hello again:
IMHO is a short form for "in my humble opinion" Lucas Oil Additive comes in a tall white bottle and is very sticky stuff. I use about half a bottle when I change the oil in the MG.
The seafoam, I add maybe half a can to every other tank of gas.
Marvel Mystery Oil is similar to what used to be sold as top lube-basically overpriced varsol with a bit of oil added to make it slippery. Some like it but I think the seafoam is better.
