Hello, guys. Long time no see you:
Last year I moved to Spain and the day came to buy my first car. I opted for this 1980? MGB in pretty good condition. The seller is a huge enthusiast of vintage cars and has a very impressive collection at his home (I'll share photos of those cars in another post). I took a train from Madrid, where I live, to the land of Don Quixote in La Mancha, to go and see the MGB. It was love at first sight, and I decided to keep her. I still don't have a driver's license here (although I'm already in the process), so I'll have to bring someone to drive that MGB back to Madrid.
I'm really glad to greet you all again; although I haven't logged back into this forum, I've always had this place in mind.
PD: My previous MGs in Central America ended up in good hands. The convertible was handed over to one of my cousins, who is a tremendous car enthusiast.

It very well might be a 1974. One give away that it's not a 1980 is the "T" handle choke pull on the dash.

Thanks!!!
You're right. My former 78 B roadster sported the same dash as yours. Definitelly that green B has parts from different time period donnors
. Actually It has twin SU carburetion instead of the Zenith Stromberg.

Bear in mind that interior specs for Europe were often different than for North America. Think 'the Abingdon pillow'...
But lovely looking car. And the original pollution control shenanigans were less crippling on the European releases as well!

Welcome back to the forum. You have a lovely car. Let us know as you go along if you find out any history on the car and what changes may have been made. That tan interior is stunning with the green paint but I think never offered from the factory, so, perhaps someone added the tan leather in a refurbishment. Again, beautiful!
