I just watched this video on youtube - I'm impressed

I have read quite a few MG books, been on this site for a while - and I just learned of this version of our beloved MGB's?

let me see if I can post the link - would love to get the skinny on this MGB GT - it has a twin cam engine, coil over shocks, gorgeous car

Oh Glenn - there's two concurrent topics on this running at the moment - just look down the page and all will be revealed - actually the first concurrent is now two days old and is currently on page 2. The video is misleading as it's about the Frontline LE50 which the presenter it seems fails to tell us until the end. It's not new - we've been discussing it for at least 6 years.

Mk1: CKD 11/66 first registered 8/5/67; owned since 3/77. 18GB +40 balanced. Peter Burgess BVFR head. Piper 285. 123. FidanzaFW. 4synch c/r box. Superpro. Nut and bolt rebuild 2010 - 2015. Tartan Red.

GT: 12/78. VW Golf guards, flush fit front and rear valances, frenched indicators, Mk1 rear lights - LED lights. 'Worked' Rover V8, Monsoon ECU for EFI. Commodore VSV8 GM4L60E, Lokar tiptronic shifter & Quick4 controller. Vintage Air A/C. FC IFS. CCE 4 link rear. Salisbury with Quaife. Jaguar Storm.

Before hitting play I noticed the front bumper bar without over riders, the lower valance and the nice shinny wire wheels that look like 15's and thought Frontline LE before hitting play. Therefore I watched the video assumming it was a Frontline and really enjoyed it laughing at his silly comments. I guess if you didn't realise it was a Frontline until the end when he tells you it would not be so funny, pity as it seems 90% of people didn't realise it was a Frontline from the start.

" as it seems 90% of people didn't realise it was a Frontline from the start."

Well if you weren't paying attention and listening to that presenter...…...I was just skip playing the video in the earlier topic until I confirmed my suspicions. But why would you bother uploading something like that? I wonder what Frontline thinks or is it a case of any publicity etc. It's not entertainment it's deception or as I called it in the other topic "fake".

PS I'm keeping an eye out for the real deal.

Here is more info on the car with a lot of photos from an auction site, it sold at auction 2019 for 47,000 pounds with 22,000 miles after costing 74,000pounds in 2014. Losing 36% in 3 years is probably less than any other new car but 27,000 pound loss still sounds like a lot of money to me. However at 22,000 miles it got driven a reasonable amount in the 3 years.

Here is a stack of photos from Frontline taken during the build.
