Anyone have a source for a staple gun that uses 1/8 staples that I can use to re-upholster my interior panels. Shooting them into 1/8 masonite. Do not want to file or grind 1/4 inch staples so that I can use them.
Thanks,
jaws

A little pricey but one example. Located in your home state.

I was addicted to the hokey pokey but I turned myself around.

4mm staples seem to work fine on interior panels and were much easier to source. Are Tacwise staplers available in the US? I've got one of these and also got a couple for friends who do bits on their cars:

Uses 4mm to 8mm staples. smiling smiley

Doing the same thing just now. Couldn't find 1/8 in. But I tried 1/4 from Lowes. With 1/8 board. The foam on one face and the vinyl on the rear these worked great. But I do have the 1/4 foam in the mix also.

I tried staples but found that contact adhesive was, and many years later, still is much better. Easier to use and you get a better job. You can pull and stretch hard and it will stick. For example the top of the door foam bits need some stretching of vinyl. The snotty coloured stuff you paint on and then allow to go tacky. Every hardware shop. Factories like staples because you don't have to wait 5 minutes when you dab some on. Only use it for the back edges, back of winder hole and negative curves (door top) etc. The front of the panel has thin foam under the vinyl. For the foam you have to use a spray on very light adhesive to preserve the foam springiness/elasticity/plumpness (there isn't a word for that).
