New member here. Just got my first Midget - 1975 1500.

As far as I can tell it has the original ZS CD 150 carb and low and behold it is leaking fuel right on the hot exhaust.

I have found a used ZS CD 175 carb for sale that has a float bowl without the plug. Any idea if that will fit a 150? If so seems like a good way to prevent future leaks.

Searched forum but couldn't find anything about using 175 bowl on a 150.

Just starting to learn the fun of the midget. Had fun driving it until the fuel started dumping on the exhaust!

BRAD: I know the float is the same, because I used to stork it for both carbs. (MOSS # 365-505), but I believe the bowl is smaller, since the carb is smaller Needle and seat (Same), Choke parts the same, Diaphragm DIFFERENT, I would say No at this point. smileys with beer

Thanks for the info. Any idea where to find a bowl for the 150 without the plug in the bottom? Or should I just get a new plug and O-ring and hope for the best? drinking smiley

BRAD: I know that some bowls for the TR6 (175 CD), without the "O" Ring fit the MGB Zenith's, I looked at MOSS for you, but I did not see a Part Number for the 150 bowl gasket to see if it is the same as the 175 ???
You might call them to determine that, but otherwise, a new "O" SHOULD stop the leak. I used to tell my customers to put that down on the "Yearly" maintenance schedule. smileys with beer
