This is a thread for Club members to post MG-Related activities and events. We'd like to use this thread to announce activities and events that you think club members might be interested in.

  • If you're going to a show or other event, and think club members might be interested, post it here.
  • If you see a show or event advertised, and think club members might be interested, post it here.
  • Heck, if you're just taking your MG out for some exercise on a nice day, and think club members might enjoy tagging along, post it here!

Post the details, like when and where, and if you're just going for a drive, let folks know your route, so maybe they can tag along or meet you part way.

Our MGs like to be driven, so let's do just that and include other people. You know what they say, "The More The Merrier!".

Safety Fast!

Scott,

I grew up in Tampa and lived in Seffner for a while, so I know where Dover is. I am on the other coast, DeLand, not far from Daytona Beach.

Wish your trip to Florida was in April, you could join us at the Gathering of the Faithful South in Crystal River.

Searched a number of MG club calendars and have found nothing for this week. The Classic MG Club of Orlando tends to have club events on the third Saturday, but this months has activities on both the 3rd and 4th Saturdays. Unfortunately, that is no help to you.

If you visit Florida's east coast near Daytona sometime in the future, contact me.

Glen Moore

Mark Tidwell has kindly volunteered to host a car detailing "workshop" at his house this coming Tuesday, the 26th of March. He will be detailing his award-winning TC, and showing others how it is done and what processes and products he uses. If you have ANY interest in detailing your car(s) for a show or just for daily enjoyment, don't miss this opportunity to learn from an expert.

Come see a classic MG TF1500 fire up to life after many years of slumber!!!!

8:30 AM Saturday June 1 at Paul Whitehouse's home, 410 Virginia St in Minneola, FL.

The engine in question is a TF1500 (XPEG) built about 35 years ago by the late Blair Engle and stored since.
Blair was a founding member of our Club and a friend and mentor to myself and many others.
A graduate engineer and Vintage MG Racer, he was noted for his meticulous craftsmanship and devotion to T-Series MGs.
The Tech Session will review initial lubrication, static tune up, oil system pre-pressurization, start up, and cam break-in procedure.
