i know the front is for a breather but the other? Near the switch?

I believe that there is a plastic breather that goes there.

Kinda looks like it’s where a bolt goes to help attach the shifter housing to the trans body.

Your fingers are asking?? about two different holes?

One is for the breather, as Johm wrote, the other hole is for a fastener for the gear lever extension to the to the gear box.
