got 3 items from hive in UK pictured below that took almost 3 weeks to get here. I do not blame hive, i believe ebay has gotten their hooks deeper into our az.
My guess they instituted a system whereby they collect everything sold in UK and when container is full they ship to USA. Then distribute themselves. Smart on their part, but they will kill their overseas purchases. And the will not combine shipping.

I have a wood lot on my property that I use to heat our home. The wooden handle on my privy broke and I have no local source for a replacement. Went on line only to discover that what was once inexpensive certainly is no longer. $80.00 for a 5ft piece of wood. Shipping was another $60.00 ? Just imagine $140.00

Why did you order through Ebay rather than direct from the MGB Hive themselves ?

I do not believe MGB Hive sells internationally.

MGOC is an excellent source for small bits order as shown in the OP.
FWIW I received a MGOC order in three days from placing order to receipt at my mailbox.

I don't think eBay does any shipping, they do not sell anything, they are just an "auction house", where sellers advertise their product(s) for others to buy. The Seller then ships the goods.

Why did you order through Ebay rather than direct from the MGB Hive themselves ?

From my experience, often the only contact, one can find, to a seller, is through eBay. Yes, one can order direct, but finding their contact info may be very hard. There is a seller in Oz, that advertises through eBay, but I do have their website address and can order direct. I have tried to find their website address elsewhere, but couldn't, lucky that they used to advertise through my club's magazine.

I have been buying a lot of parts from Amazon.
I bought a heater motor on Amazon for $30. The part is $159. from Autozone.
I bought parking brake parts for a S10 that are genuine Delco.
The shipping is free and fast.
The Vevor tools on Amazon are way cheaper than Harbor Freight.

And Sunday delivery as well got two packages from Amazon today never got out of my bathroom and fuzzy slippers how great is that and free shipping you’re right. I buy a lot I mean a lot of stuff from Amazon. I think their website is the easiest website to navigate in the whole world. You don’t really have to know any particulars about something you may be looking for just poke in some general information and it gives you a turn of options, refinance from there. Pretty nice definitely a reason they’re number one.

MGBHive will send small parts overseas, however large parts tend to be body panels that are prone to damage during shipping. Simpler not to do it rather than have to deal with claims. Some of the parcel brokers do gather up a crate of small items then ship them individually when they are in the destination country, this applies in particular to Canada.
Don’t knock eBay shipping though, if you think U.K. sellers are difficult then you want to experience of USA sellers. One typical experience was over £250 to ship a Ford Mustang throttle body, not just one sellers but many at similar charges. I think eBay shipping charged about £25

Really, is it that difficult? It took me about 10 seconds to find the MGB Hive's website. Their contact details (phone number, email address) are plastered all over their web page. Disclaimer: I am not a customer of them.

There's an issue with shipping internationally using the USPS. They have a new lower level of service that uses a 3rd party to handle border crossings, and its that 3rd party that's causing delays. I buy postage from Endicia who was bought out by Stamps.com who started this process without consent. I made one call and got that "discount opportunity" completely removed as an option on my account so those delays will never happen again on my watch. BHive or whoever sold you the parts on Ebay has the option to do the same but they lost control when they used Ebay's shipping services.

A peavey is a logger’s tool that is used to move logs on the ground. They have long sturdy hardwood handle for leverage! Like a can’t hook tool but has a spike on the end.

A "privy" that Tampa originally spoke of and a "peavey" are certainly two different things!

Just try getting things shipped to Hawaii! Even on Amazon. Who is definitely my friend. But so many things don’t ship to Alaska and hawaii. Doesn’t matter if it is hazmat or not. I’d go on Amazon, find a nice Philips socket. Ok, so you think, it isn’t big, not hazardous, etc. But they don’t ship to Hawaii. So I called and asked if they could just put it in a flat rate box. No, they can’t ship to Hawaii cause it isn’t part of the country, it is out in the middle of the pacific. Yet they would ship for free to Seattle. So I’d have them ship it there, then my daughter would put it in a flat rate box and ship it here. Crazy.

And don’t get me started on shipping paint. I work in boats here, and no one carries good marine paint, like awlgrip here in the big island. Even from honolulu, it is a minimum of $100 for hazmat, then shipping on top of that. Or you go to Home Depot, they carry one color of something, like a microwave, anything, but the other colors aren’t available in Hawaii, and won’t ship it here.

I could go on and on, now that you got me started. Don’t get me wrong, it is a great place to retire to. Can go sailing in a Laser (small, 1 person sail boat), I January in shorts and tshirt. But they call the big island the third world for a reason. LOL

Luckily for me, for MG parts, Basil on here is great, and packages up things efficiently and then sends them over. Even Moss wanted $22 to ship a small $10 part.

Even flat rate envelopes that are guaranteed 3 day delivery takes 5 days here. A customer that sends me monthly checks does so that way, and gets a refund on shipping from post office every time.
