I am planning to fit a Trevor Jones stainless free-flow manifold and big bore exhaust systems to my ZA.

I took delivery of the kit just after he died so I didn't get the chance to ask him about fitment.

Can anyone tell me if the silencer (muffler) mounting brackets will be in the same position relative to the floor pan as the original exhaust and so can be attached via the standard metal straps in the original position ?

Also, I can't see any rubber 'cotton reel' attachments or equivalent in the SPL.
Were the original silencers (mufflers) just bolted straight to the floor pan ? (I didn't dismantle my car).

Thanks.
Roger

Good morning roger,
The silence is attached with two stripes of reinforced rubber. A bit like cut out of tyres.
Sorry no pic of final assy
Next to the heatshiled you see 4 holes in the body. Each side the rubber strip it mounted to two of the holes. Hanging down a bit like a U. In the middle of the strips is another hole to attach the silencer with screw an two big washers. The silencer should have to „ears“ for this. I.e metal stripes with a hole for the screw.
I got all from Peter.
Simon

Thanks, Simon.
That is most helpful.
Peter Martin thinks that NTG may now offer the same exhaust system with fitting kits so I will try them for parts.
My car is missing the heatshield plate so I will have to source one of those as well.

Thanks…
I guess i had luck with the body being in rather good shape in those areas.
Plus my rotary device helped alot to allow proper spraying.
