Looks something like this, and in RHD too!!. Spotted in Mildura Vic where there are plenty of roads available for high speed testing. Post purloined from the Hunter Region MG Car Club.

1968 MGB Purchased already dis-assembled but which is largely back together so I'm a lot less ignorant.

It has been quite widely seen in the UK over last year. I saw it at the Silverstone festival last August. It is a tad bigger than an MGB and has gull-wing doors, which to me are ridiculous. The interior and dashboard were designed by someone from the playstation generation, and of course it is pretty heavy with the battery pack. But those who have driven it say it drives well. Not for this old codger though. Who is going to buy it, I wonder? The old enthusiasts are unlikely to want it, and few younger people will be able to afford it, as the price is likely to be north of 40,000 GB pounds. The Pistonheads website here in the UK has released the first information about the Cyberster. Read it here https://www.pistonheads.com/news/electric-vehicles/mg-cyberster-goes-on-sale-priced-from-55k/48456?utm_campaign=enews%2520bulletin&utm_source=Sailthru&utm_medium=email&utm_term=Newsletter%20Send%20Smart%20List
It will start at £55,000 GBP for the single motor model and £60,000 for the twin motor. The writer reckons it will be a Porsche EV beater.

I have several American cars, a couple of British cars, a few Japanese cars. I advised my older brother to buy a Korean car.
There is no real reason for Chinese cars to annoy me but they do.

They are declining in Europe as well, in the UK car manufactures have to sell a minimum 22% EV or pay a £15000 fine for EVERY ICE CAR that is sold over the 78% allowance. Last week threatened to pull out of the UK simply because they weren't prepare to sell cars at a loss. Tax incentives for business is the only thing holding up EV sales over here, the general population have realised that if they don't have off street parking then they can only recharge an EV at charging stations where there is an inflated price per KW. We are almost certainly going to have a change of government later this year which will mean a ban on new ICE cars comes in five years quicker.
By the way it is not an MG it's a Chinese built car with an MG badge on, same as putting a MG badge on a Geo Metro.

It is a pretty watered-down version of what they displayed at car shows a few years ago. Still........ Interesting. Even though EV new car sales seem to be declining here in the US.
