Greeting from Dave in Claremont California
I am in the process of a body off restoration on my 1959 MGA Roadster. I recently discovered Sportscar Metalworks of Iver Bucks, SLO OAY. I am interested in placing an order for several items from them. I can't find any revues or comments about them and wanted to ask if anyone has purchased products and parts from them, and if they are a reliable source. I would greatly appreciate any information or advice from forum members.
Best,
Dave C.

Hello, Dave. Welcome aboard!
I think Sportscar Metalworks sells parts made by 'Metal Mickey'. Perhaps a search using that name might find some info?
Here's one: https://www.mgexp.com/forum/mga-forum.2/jamess-1959-mga-roadster-project.4694316.4694585/#msg-4694585 Scroll down to reply #15.
There is an Australian company that has the best reputation for quality & correct shape/fit of MGA repair panels. Kilmartin https://www.kas-kilmartin.com.au/index.htm Yes, they're in Australia and I don't know how much shipping would cost but the promise of proper fit will save you a lot grief & aggravation.

I'm in Australia, and highly recommend the Kilmartin parts..BTW, with the USA/Aust exchange rate, you guys in the States will be laughing at how cheap the parts will be!
I also buy from Michael (Metal Mickey..aka Sports Car Metal Works)..Mick makes and sells a lot of "odd" parts that the mainstream manufacturers don't. A great fellow BTW!
Both these people have websites.

I have used both Sportscar Metalworks and Kilmartin.
Kilmartin are the best you can buy, simply, they fit. Forget the cost you will save hours of cussing.
Metal Mickey provide parts others may not but have needed trimming and adjusting.
I have ordered parts by phone with both and service is good. I was amazed how quickly the Kilmartin parts arrived.

I have not ordered from Metal Mickey, but I have ordered and installed numerous parts from Kilmartin. I want to add two thumbs up for Kilmartin parts. They fit as if they came from the original factory (maybe better) and the shipping to the US is not an issue, nor is it that expensive.
