This gearbox has story, and it is a pretty good one. Years ago I had a friend, George Sykes who was one of the owners at Seven Enterprises back when they did MGB parts as well, he had (3) BMC Competion Parts Department sc/cr gear set he sold me. I used I set and sold the other two at the time, this was in the mid 80s. One set went to Barry Perkins, and he didn't use it but a few times, before he parked his old car (Stan Heath owns now) and then started on his new SCCA MGB race car build, and used a Saenz dog box. I bought it back from Barry for Fred McConnell as a spare and he never used it, but later his dad used it in his race car, and it did fine. I later horse traded back for it, and used it about 3 times when it was determined it needed new synchros, so I rebuilt put new snychros, and replaced the reverse idler gear, all new seals and gaskets. I have two of these gearboxes the other one has a Jack Knight gear set. So long sorry short these gear sets are made from better quality metal than the ones you can buy now. After the rebuild it has been tested and used one weekend. If interested, PM me.
