Got tired of sitting on car floor listing 22 degrees, so pulled seat, rewebbed seat, added newly acquired seat foam and used seat cover. Now I'm sitting up straight and my rear is in tush heaven.
Just found that my clutch needs replacement, ordered parts, and upon arrival will flatbed it my friend to do the deed.
So I guess ill pull the passenger side and redo that as well.
I guess i have to take the good with the bad!!!

Sandy,
One note, its best to glue some burlap to the bottom of the seat foam per original setup. The burlap keeps the bands from eating into the bottom side of the foam.

Wonderful. Lucky man you have an MGB, in a GT your head would hit the ceiling!

I did this last year to my seats. The 'deckchair' cloth covers in my case were still good but the bases had sagged badly. I bought a set of new backrest and seatbase foams, replaced the webbing and then rebuilt the seats after carefully washing the covers. The seats look like they have just come out of the factory now and are as comfortable as a modern car.

One thing that one can do to help eliminate the butt droop is to add a third longitudinal strap
