I have a single 12v battery in a car originally set up for 2 x 6v batteries, so there's no room for a proper battery bracket - the battery fits the hole exactly. So I have two zip ties wrapped around the battery and bracket to hold it down and I have a sheet of hard plastic on top of the battery to prevent the terminals from touching the steel battery cover in the event of an accident.

A block of wood on top of the battery. Even if the car rolls over it should prevent the battery terminals from contacting the metal cover. I have a single 12v battery in a plastic battery box.

Basically the same thing, except I have 1/4" piece of rubber on top of my battery.

Oil leak?? What oil leak? That puddle under the car is just sweat from all that horsepower!!

X 2. You can just see it under the red cable. It's long enough to wrap under the original battery box.

I have a Miata AGM battery in a Clark & Clark plastic battery box. I bolted some plywood on the bottom of the box, and ran a nylon strap under the plywood to hold the battery in place.

A longer version of one of these webbing straps. It passes underneath the base of the frame

Are you guys making holes in the plastic box to run the straps?

What does the L bolt hold on to? Does it go through the plastic box?

I made two holes in the bottom of the plastic box to bolt in a plywood rectangle, and the nylon strap goes under that piece of plywood. There is still enough clearance above my Miata AGM battery for the strap and a cut-off switch.
