Working on a 52 TD and clearly I am missing something very basic. We pulled the dampeners in the Fall because one was leaking. Turned out that one had a screw with a broken gasket so that problem was easily solved. Getting them back in is proving to be an unanticipated challenge. I can't get the bolt/stud on the arm of the dampener back into the hole it came out of. I had to tap them out but they had been in there for decades so that isn't unexpected. Any tips or tricks to pass on?

Not exactly sure which piece you removed. The Armstrong links are factory made one piece assemblies and can’t be disassembled. If you removed a bolt/pin from the rubber you may have destroyed the link. If the bolt end won’t go into the arm, it must be really trashed. Picture would help. George
