Hello All-
First, I would like to Thank everyone here, who has given time and advice to me on the Pull Handle, over the last three months,
this is a very different experience from acquiring the 1966 MGB two years ago.
It had been "restored" and driven for 5 years, and then parked, and subsequently, sat for ten years.
It required a pretty straight forward re-commissioning. I bought it from my cousin,
so I had a reliable seller to deal with, and a very reasonable purchase price !
Second, thanks to all the sellers of parts that I have purchased in the Market Place here.
These items will help maintain the originality of the car, which is a primary goal of mine on this project.
The Pull Handle is quite different..
No known history, No current title, No idea when it was parked or why ?
A good mystery for sure.
The only thing I do know, is that other that the BRG paint, and an after market steering wheel, the car is Original and Deserves a second chance at Life.
Back to the original spec as practical & possible.
This weekend, talented British Car Mechanic, Nick Baker, is coming to The MG Garage to help me pull the engine & transmission.
Huge shout out to Nick for making the trek to help me do this !!!
Weather is supposed to be near perfect on Saturday, so the driveway pull procedure will not have rain to deal with !
Wish us Luck, and I will report on our Weekend results here at a later date
Safety Fast !

Dick -
Wise advice.... but too late, I'm already in knee deep.
The current owner is working on getting it current with the State of Illinois so we can complete the sale.
I'm guessing May/June/July before we have it fully resolved , but I am sure it will be.
The State of Illinois Secretary of States Office is the SLOWEST in the entire country, I know from past experience !
The owner wants me to have the car, and is ecstatic about the car having a second chance that he could not provide for it.
Life is short and opportunities like this don't present themselves very often, so I'm going for it !!!
Thanks and as always Safety Fast !

Greetings, yes it is a beautiful car; but from my dealings with midwest BMV I also would recommend getting the title fixed before progressing. Indiana was slow and difficult but Illinois was slow and reluctant to help at all, even if the problems were of their own making. good luck!
