Well I decided to plug up the opening for the gulp valve on the intake manifold to make it more aesthetically pleasing. When I removed the vacuum plug that was used to plug it up I noticed that the gulp valve tube was not removed...it was just cut leaving about 1/2 inch tube sticking out of the hole. I already purchased a 1/2 inch freeze plug to plug up the opening, but I'm afraid I won't be able to remove the cut gulp valve since it might be seized too tightly in the manifold. I'm afraid to pull, twist and possibly break the cut gulp valve tube and then not have anything to put the old rubber vacuum plug back on if I can't manage to pull it off.
Do you think just some WD-40 should do the job?

Yes, this is a press fit. Rotate while pulling up will remove it. Fold it in on itself to reduce the diameter to make this even easier.
