I recently picked up a box of original MGA doodads, nuts/bolts, switches, etc. and one of the included items was this brass piece which I do not recognize at all. It appears to be a hydraulic or oil coupling; can anyone recognize its origin and anyone want it before I recycle it away?

Standard MGA part...its the oil pressure line coupling. It attaches to near the starter bracket...one side goes to the engine oil pressure outlet...the other side goes to your oil guage.

Hi Nick, I recognize this coupling as part of the Oil Pressure Gage system. It would mount on the passenger side firewall inside the engine comp. It connects the copper tube that goes through the firewall to the gauge to the short flex oil line that connects to the oil pressure fitting on the rear of the engine block. MGB's have the same fitting. I'll buy it from you if you don't want it. How much for it ?

Both answers are correct.
