MGTD Pinch clamps for spare tire horizontal bar #1 This topic is about my 1951 MG TD

I am thinking about mounting a luggage rack on the rear of the TD. My TD has been converted to wire wheels as is the spare wheel.

I am trying to get exact dimensions to make sure the rack will clear the spare.

While looking at the two types from Moss, I noticed that they both connect to the pinch clamps on horizontal bar that holds the license plate holder.

At some point these clamps were removed.

Does anyone in the group know where I can get a set of these clamps. Used in good shape would be fine as I plan to paint them to match the rest of the car.

Ernie, I think this is what I need. Just need to get a diameter reading so I can see if they fit the cross bar. The have been some modifications made to the TD by prior owners.
