Is there a business in the US that does this anymore?

Here in England there are some windscreens for sale but the supply is limited. An alternative source is to use a company that manufactures windscreens to order. The one I know of in England can make you a windscreen with heated areas or bulletproof or with special shaded areas and so on. The price for the windscreen will be painfull but it is an option with side benefits.

I am fairly sure there are similar specialist windscreen manufacturers in America but you have to be prepared for the price if you choose to go this way for a replacement windscreen.

Thanks, Paul. I'm on the hunt. This does appear to be a needle in haystack search. In the past I've bought used assembled units and "conned" friends into helping with the install.

Your suggestion seems like it could lead to a viable outcome if the price isn't prohibitive!

Best Regards!

I don’t understand exactly what you need. Are the big chains such as Safelite and Speedy unable to supply glass?
Or is the glass available and no one wants to install it in the car?

Hi Rick,

I can't find a chain outlet or a "one off" shop anywhere who is willing to replace a B windshield.

I'm in FL but had the same issue in GA and CT over the past couple of years. Just yesterday spoke with a parts supplier on Tybee Island, GA, who just wished me luck.

Sorry to hear that Dan. I better buy a windshield now. I live in a rural area and I think the local shop will still do them.

Do me a favor and let me know if they do. Maybe they know others. Or, I'll just ship my car over there. Probably be a 5 Grand WS!

Dan, windshields are available at Moss and install is not as bad as you may have read. I am surprised that a glass shop would not do the job if you removed the frame and brought that to them. I understand not wanting to do the removal from the car but the install of the glass into the frame should be easy for them.

PS. This won't get much traffic here in the OT, try again in the MGB & GT section. It has been discussed OFTEN.spinning smiley sticking its tongue out
