I have a small amount of body work I need done on my MGB and looking for a body shop that will work on classic cars in Connecticut. No local shop wants to touch a classic car in my area. (Eastern CT) Looks like the former owner replaced the rear left quarter or dog leg panel and did not weld it. Someone hit it and you can see from the photo it’s split at the seam. I am not a body guy and have no desire to deal with it. Anyone out there in Connecticut know of a reputable shop?
Thanks,
Dave

That’s called the rear dog leg panel, an often used repair replacement.
The horizontal line just visible is the top edge of the repair panel.
The collision must have broken the seam welds open and loosen whatever body filler/bondo was applied as a finishing.
The replacement piece is readily available and relatively inexpensive. The challenge is locating someone to do it, as you’re discovering!
Try contacting the local Connecticut MG car Club for recommendations?

Sorels in Brooklyn just across the line from Danielson on Rt. 6 will probably do it for you. Good reputation too.
