Sorry if I'm being dense but are you asking where it's normally located on the dash or in the engine bay, or both?
I've just read your other posts and it looks like you may be new to the car. If not, I apologize.
The the "heater" switch is really just a blower on and off switch at the leftmost part of the dash on a left hand drive vehicle. It simply turns the blower on and off. Heat is directed to the cabin using the round knob cable operated Heat and Defrost selector. That merely rotates a damper in front of the heater box allowing air to pass through the heater core and into the car. To heat your feet, there are small doors on each side of the console toward the front of the car. To energize the system, there is a valve in the engine compartment which bypasses coolant into the heater core. It looks like a hose bib just behind the valve cover on the passenger side in front of the heater. Sorry if you already knew all this. I wasn't sure what you were asking.

The heater control is a tap on the rear driver's side of your engine, which allows or stops the flow of hot water into the heater matrix. Everything else follows that.
Pull/push the knob to the left of your steering wheel to open/close a flap valve to allow air through the heater matrix. Turn the knob to start/stop your heater fan for when you are stationary.
By your left knee there is a metal door to allow air into the footwell. Also one for your passenger. Close the door to force the air up to the screen for demisting.
Normal control position for winter driving is tap open, knob in and not rotated, flap open.
