Yes, it will fit but more photos are needed. If it is an early head intended for an MGA 1500/1600 the valves, ports and combustion chambers will be too small. The manifolds are early type and if the Webers are 40 DCOE, they should be fine (although I prefer Dellortos). In any event, it is not just a simple bolt on modification. Why do you think it was fitted and then taken off and put under the work table? It needs to be put in the hands of someone who knows how to port both the head and manifolds and will likely cost $1500 to get everything right. You will also need to resolve issues like repositioning the oil filter and heater valve. Do your research and then proceed.

Thank you for the reply. Will go up garage and check and see if this is a early one. I have the original 61 engine that is locked up.
Also have very early 1800 that is fresh and mostly ready to install. Have the block off plate for heater already really didnt think oil filter would be issue with it point down.

Short answer yes. Long answer don't bother.
I used one briefly same set up on a 1622 engine back in the 70s. Exhaust seat burnt out and head distorted. Although they will take higher c.r. you will need exhaust valve inserts checking and combustion chamber volume.
They look super cool and the induction roar is fantastic but bottom line a decent flowed standard head will give similar if not more power, according to Peter Burgess
Then you have problems of access to distributor etc on the right hand side of the engine. Mine had the Twin-Cam inner wing panels which help.
Webers offer better tuning calibration imho. 40s ok for a midly tuned engine 45s for full race. they can work well if set up correctly but be prepared for major increase in fuel consumption. I saw a French car at Silverstone last year with the MSX head, worked well.
