73 midget. One carb has good resistance, oil in dash pot. Other carb had no resistance, no oil. I added oil. It all leaked out. Some residue left, but no squishy suction pop noise when I remove the cap.

I took them apart, noticed the bad one had a HOLE right down the center of the shaft. The good one doesn’t. Photos added.

How can I fix this? (Without buying new carbs) any luck with jb weld? Just a little bit would do the trick. I have the fuel / gas resistant version. What about just a tiny circular piece of metal with some silicone grease pressed over the hole?

So someone drilled a hole there?

As a temporary fix, JB might do. You may be able to find a used but serviceable set of carbs or
minimally a used HS2 piston that has acceptable performance (piston drop time in your carb).
