i can't say for sure but the 22952 is a casting stamp on the head, which is a reference number for a mold. and as a casting, it can be machined into heads, and may have been, suitable for a variety of blocks used in any number of complete engines. at least that's my understanding, and sounds reasonable to me.
anyway, i know wouldn't feel confident after 70+ years that the sparkplug holes in a 22952 casting would be suitable for the block and pistons on which it sat.
if i were in a situation where i was unsure, i would feel it best to test first. and barring that, i would use plugs with the shortest threads and monitor for suitability.
the advice given previously should prove sufficient for that.

I thought it would be just the opposite. Wouldn’t you want a colder plug for long continuous high speed use - in order for the plug to better shed off the heat?

1/2" reach for 22952. B6HS, hotter for HWY. B7HS, colder for street.

What I understand is NGK is totally opposite of other's brands . The higher the number, the colder the plug.
A colder plug will withstand more heat which is good for stop & go traffic.
