AARGH!
The bonnet pull "Come away in me 'and mister!" So my bonnet is firmly shut.
It has become detached under the bonnet...at the crank I expect. Can anyone remind me how to get at it? I seem to remember it helps if the car is up in the air and you can wangle your hand up by the radiator? Or is there another trick way to doing it?????

Hallo David,
O dear… looked at it and yes. Maybe the right angled lever can be reached from the bottom of the car.
Did try with my open bonnet. You can move it by hand.
Not sure if another possibility would be to try to push the left end of the look, where the return spring is attached to the right. It is visible through the chrome grille.
Maybe a screw driver can rest against a blade of the grille (protected by a piece of rubber tube) and then lever against the lock to push it to disengage position?

A look at the parts list and Simon’s advice did it. Putting the screwdriver in between the offside slats near the centre vertical bar allowed me to prod the sliding plate on the catch. A good light helped…as would another pair of hands
Fortunately the over complicated retaining clip and spring were still on the release rod.
I will think of a way to make sure it doesn’t do it again! Once every five years Ithink
