Solved
I popped the fuse in my 1974 MGB ARO valve circuit, it had a 5 amp buss fuse in it, that seems like it could be a little low but my manuals and searches show the fuse location but no Amp rating for that fuse? The other inline fuses under the fuse box are 10 amp and that is what is listed for them. I put in another 5 Amp fuse and it's working fine for now.

Update, after replacing the fuse the ARO Valve was working but hit or miss, one of the posts on the ARO valve was bent so I figured it was a bad connection in the solenoid or windings someplace, so I took it apart and found the windings were good but the solder in the bent post holding the winding wire was cracked and not making a good connection, so I re soldered that and put it all back together, so far it works and passes the John Twist Evap ARO Tests.. and so it continues...

Rick Ashley lists the ARO as 5 amp rating, but for 77 onward. I'm not sure why it's 77 onwards maybe someone else can provide some insight.

Thanks Ben, Moss is selling a ARO Valve part # 367-110 and they show it as a replacement part that works for MGB's from 1973 to 1980.
So the 5 amp fuse should work well enough. I do wonder why they only started listing the fuse amps for 77 onward?
