I originally posted this a little over a year ago with no replies - try again.
Trying to find a replacement ignition switch, just the electrical contact part. The original is a Lucas model #157SA, P/N 39387B. Haven't found a direct replacement except on ebay for an outrageous price. There are a number of switches listed for Spits and TR6's that look right but the numbers don't match. There's also a 157SA for a Reliant Robin & Rialto. Has anyone found a supplier or know if the ones listed will work?

I thinks this is what you are talking about. Not sure.
It looks like the switch itself 157SA is used in a bunch of different applications with the pigtail being the difference and specified by the second set of numbers.
Have you checked that out to see if it’s the case?
I see a aftermarket 157SA for 15 euro and up to $100+ at Welsh for just the switch.
Maybe the switch will work and use your pigtail?
Also, have you called the wreckers and talked to them? There are lots of complete assemblies out there for sure.

(different Jack) I'm not at home so can't look at my info but I think the switch only is available at Moss. The problem is the pigtail wire colors and plug are wrong. Simply figure out where the new wires go and put them in the old plug, or splice them to the correct wire. IIRC...

Layne & Jack, thanks for the replies.
I've looked at ANG and they seem to have lots of good stuff - but they don't ship to the US.
The Moss 542-077, listed for Midgets doesn't look right. Moss 263-655 looks right but is NA and Moss DAC1422JAG looks right but is $190.
I didn't know about Classic Garage and just ordered LU-39921. Changing the wiring is no problem. I'll post about the fit and function when it arrives. Thanks
