Beautiful color, nice wheels. Plenty of good upgrades. For that kind of money I would want a MUCH tidier looking engine bay and a nicer hood holding situation than a broom stick. I would probably have sprung for a professional detailing and photos too.
I won't criticize the price, we should stop running down our own cars. But if you want the top of the market for an MGB you need to put more effort into your ad than this person has.

Lots of people spend way more than that to restore an MGB. Paint job alone runs around $20k for most shop paint jobs. Add in a drive train overhaul, new interior and some trim-work and at a shop rate of around $100/hour its not hard to get to $50k for a nice restoration. Then you have to debug the build, cause that is a thing.
So as long as the car on offer is the right colour and in line with what you would have built, not only do you save $15k but you also save a few years of time. Plus you can sell for close to what you paid.

I have a 67 and I like to see prices for these cars going up. In this case, my question would be what has the seller been smoking? For 35K I want to see a really nice car with all of the details correct. Just the engine compartment and the rats nest of wiring would turn me off on this car.

I looked on Craigslist and saw some MGBs I recognized.
A GT on there used to belong to an car show buddy. I helped him work on the car several times.
He sold it last year for 7k and now it is 15k.
I don’t think the value of the car doubled in a year. The car was parked outside most of its life and has patched up rust, worn door hinges, clunk in the differential.
But now it is a special garage Queen.
Another one jumped from 4K to 18k with a similar story.

Gary,
All MK1 cars have clear lenses so they are not illegal.
I also agree with most of the comments about the engine bay. Ugly black paint just turns me off. A few things that I noticed that are out of place are the two cooling fans and the "modern wiring harness" going though the firewall plug instead of the normal routing through the firewall. Not sure what that thing is on the right hand shelf where the windshield washer bottle should be. Appears that the windshield washer was also upgraded to a later electronic pump version.

And the front blinkers are illegal I would assume since they are clear. But I do hope that he gets it. Then I know mine is worth a hell of a lot more than I thought
