Well, I bought a car from him recently. I've had to do a bunch of things, going thru my car system by system. He is a character, a little abrupt, but (so far) I'd say he is honest. He goes into detail to tell you you are buying a 40 year old car and it is not perfect. He is telling you the truth. He specializes in a number of mods like converting to chrome bumpers and lowering late model cars and installing Webers. Again, not concours vehicles! The car runs great and drives very nicely. I still have a number of mods and things I want to do, but I've got the time and the cash to do it. It is fun.
He will deal and switch parts like (for me) wheels and seats and delivered my car to MD.
I may have paid a buck or two too much but I am still happy with the deal.
You should stop in and see him.

Thanks. Just starting my MG quest. Would really like to make a decent purchase as I plan to use it as a comuter for work. I can fix little things as I go but I would like the restoration mostly finished. I will likely have one shipped to me. hard to locate one here in N C.

I would think nc would be a good place.
I would recommend a visit to Conn. to check him and his inventory. Youve gotta be happy with your deal. Good luck.
Oh ya, there is a good checklist on what to look for in a used "B". It is in the MGB Restoration Guide.

I noticed you were from NC, you may also check with forum member Bob White in Monroe, NC, Bob is good guy, and does great work, might see if he has any MGBs for sale. I believe Bob's username here is "Joemama".

I'm surprised you are having a tough time finding a suitable vehicle. Looks like there are a dozen or so for sale in and around Wilmington. What's your price range?
