I got a speedo drive gear for the magnette but I am pretty sure its not correct. I the gear does not mesh with the transmission gear, when I put the drive in the trans. it just turns freely it does not engage with the trans gear. The speedo drive is about 3/4ths of an inch in diameter and about 1/2inch thick, I can get a precise measurement when I get the car to my garage with calipers but I am hoping this is enough info for now. I am thinking the diameter is too small, any thoughts??Thanks, Martin

The gear in the transmission seems tight on its shaft so I don't think thats the problem and I can visually see that the gears are not meshing.
