What I'm trying to find out is, has the boot lid seal sold by the regular suspects now been improved to give the needed results, sealing but not lifting the boot lid? I've read most of the previous posts on this subject, and still not sure what would be the best choice for my 67 MGB roadster. I'm open to any thing that works, hence someone using a McMaster Carr rubber seal. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I experienced the issue of a raised trunk (boot) lid using a Moss seal on my 1969 Midget. I eventually found a McMaster-Carr seal that worked beautifully. The p/n is 1120A341. The basic specs. are: 1/16" thick, 13/64" wide, 25/32" high and 9/16" grip height. Cost is $1.74/foot and a 10 foot length was sufficient for my little midget. You may require different dimensions for your "B."

Dang, I wish I hadn't read this post - I put a new Moss seal on many years ago and was blissfully unaware that my boot lid was lifted a bit! I thought that's just the way it fits - now I'll have to feel guilty if I don't fix it!
