10k if it's as good as it looks all around would be a steal and a half for the buyer

Can you put back the side strips? If so, I think it would be easier to sell.

Hi Dan, here's a link to recent BAT 67 BGT that went for $12,500 $12,250 US on May 11/17 http://bringatrailer.com/listing/1967-mg-mgb-gt-3/

And another 67 BGT for sale on CL for 25 days now, asking $15,000 CDN which is around $11,000 US https://vancouver.craigslist.ca/van/cto/6153227134.html

Both of these are Vancouver B.C. Canadian MGB/GTs

Good luck, you're certainly in the ballpark!

Cheers,

Jeff

Sharp looking car!

Thos're 3 great looking cars.

OTOH - Why would you sell such a great car. I'm pretty convinced the GTs are gonna hold value way better than the roadsters (specific models and years aside) - I bought mine for $1800 and I could not image being able to get another one for even close to that that doesn't need a complete rebuild.

I'd consider selling the roadster but not the GT.

The goal - Reliable summer driver interspersed with mechanical tinkering...
Motto - "Driving fifty in the twisties..."
On Mods - It's your damn car - Do what you want. Haters gonna hate...
On SUVs - Drive your B like a soccer mom is texting her friends about how she wants to kill you...

In Feb 2017, I paid $9k for my red 67 BGT that was a good 10 footer cosmetically but very solid mechanically. It did have D-type overdrive and vacuum switch: I got it working by replacing the dashboard switch. I have lots of small and a few medium things to do on the car: rear suspension bushes, shocks, some electrical, some interior, etc. So I'd say $10k for a 67 BGT that is also solid mechanically and looks a lot better cosmetically would be good value. I'd had an LH OVD to put in a 67 if it didn't come with overdrive and that's about $1000 to $2000 depending on what all needs doing to get it in the car. So, if I'd bought Dan's car and put in OVD, I'd probably be farther ahead $$-wise. Though I am having a lot of fun doing the work on the one I bought.

I'm lucky to have 2 cars and am not going to press my luck starting discussions about a 3rd car for a few years...

One thing that can be bad or good. It has 71 drivetrain with a 4 sync trans.
everything electrical has been converted. the interior/headliner has all been replaced and has new Dayton Chrome wires.

I'd say that is good: easy to now swap in an LH overdrive and still retains the overall look of the Mk I. My 65 roadster has been converted to use a later engine (18GF), LH overdrive, dual circuit brakes. But still looks like a Mk I.
