Best experience ever. I needed a part for a mirror and had a bad experience with one of the members who used some very foul language and rude comments. His remarks were deleted and he sent more nasty pm messages. Anyways, another forum member stepped up and sent two new mirrors and all the hardware needed for them free of charge even priority shipping stating "MG guys need to stick together". Couldn't state it better. I just needed a very small part for my mirror. This place is the best for parts and tons of great advice. Thanks all for a great place for me to spend lots of time learning and asking advice.

If I ever get a nasty PM, I will publish it here. Protecting the identity of someone who would do something like that is silly and counterproductive, IMO.

In any debate, the side which strays from civil discussion is usually the side that lacks confidence in its debate position or in the merit of their arguments. Making personal attacks on the opponents instead of staying on the subject is also a sign of weakness.
Anyone who feels compelled to respond in kind to any perceived slight is often suffering from narcissism.

It takes two to tango....
you wouldn't happen to be the person who sent those "nasty" messages would you?
almost seems like you're tattling on yourself...
i think the true reason of the post was to praise the generosity and good will of the people on the site. if he was trying to make someone look bad he would have named names. i went through this myself when i stated how i felt i may be been purposely cheated when purchasing an OD. i didn't name any names - i didn't know one way or another. but sure enough, the member made himself known.
anyway, yes, there are some GREAT, generous people here, with invaluable knowledge and advice.

No Curtis, I would not be that person. Thank you so much for suggesting that though. I'll wait for your retraction and apology.

Bob, the rules of the forum state that we don't share other peoples' PMs. Nicholas is doing the honorable thing by not divulging the name or message, just the gist of it.
Chris - I just re-read the rules. Where does it say that we have to honor someone's nasty PM by not re-posting it? And why is that the "honorable" thing to do?
To me it's like the many internet posters hiding behind fake names to make cowardly nasty posts. We should expose those who engage in this type of activity on this forum. Why do you believe we should we protect them?

Anthony,
Well said.

It would not surprise me if the guy who sent the nasty PMs does not even use his name in his profile. It's easy to be a tough guy when you post anonymously.
Amen.
Chris - are you listening? Doing the "honorable thing" and keeping the identity of nasty posters confidential is just encouraging them to continue.

Nicholas, thank you for posting such an inspiring experience. Good Karma spreads quickly.
As to you Einsteins with your distracting posts concerned more over who Nicholas was referring to, use a little bit of your genius by doing an advanced search of the forum.
It took me less than 30 seconds to get the offender's name.

Nice name calling Steven. Way to go.
I'm really impressed with your intelligence.
