Ok guys, question: My '69 MGB has a new soft canvas top. I didn't think about this till I watched a few videos on how to raise /lower top. Several tops had a snap on either side of the head bow area attaching to top of windshield and an additional snap behind each door pillar in front of U attachment. I have neither of these although top stays well secured. There is a good length "tail" for the area where rear of door closes. Didn't know if arrangement of snaps vary's by year or individual top installer. I do have the snaps on the inside frame. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Jon

You should have the snaps. Most decent tops and even most indecent tops come with the rear ones pre-installed and the front ones either installed or supplied with the top.

The snaps tighten the window surround so it fits better.

That was my thought. Don't know what top as it was installed by PO. Did otherwise nice job, top fits snug and is beautiful. I like the tan with the red body, not often seen combo. Will see if I can track down and have them installed, thanks. Sorry I couldn't include pix to better explain but am on the road.
