Got the choke fixed today! Thank you to those that gave me some advice there. We finally had some nice weather today in Michigan so I took the opportunity to give my B a wash and wax. When we did the restoration on this car we used all the original suspension parts and I have a feeling now that I have a problem with ride height. The front seems OK but the back seems low. Are new leaf springs in order? Let me know what you think.

This is what I did back in the 80's to my 63 B. My rear springs were shot. Called I guy I knew who dealt in MG used parts. During this time I was using my B as a work vehicle, mostly odd jobs. With tools in the trunk and maybe a miter box strapped to the luggage rack, I needed a stiffer rear end. So I bought springs off a GT.
It raised the rear end just enough and it made it possible to go with 195 tires on the rear w/o ever having a problem. Some years I've used my B for the local HS
homecoming parade. There I put 2 court members sitting on my car with their feet on the panels behind the seats. One's usually a large football player. But never had a problem with that extra weight. All and all I prefer that look better than the one with the rear sagging. That's my opinion

Measure it on both ends. Measured from bottom of chrome strip to center of wheel cap.
Report back.

looks near perfect.
Between 13.5 and 14 inches is ideal. Bottom of strip to middle of wheel so as to eliminate tyre differences. Expect the passenger side to be 1/4'' higher. It is called the Bachelor learn and most MGB's have it.
I'm at 13.75 and that clears all parking ramps an speed humps. Bar one, that everyone else graunches on as well.

Keep the front on the regular coil springs, but always replace the rear leaf springs on a Tourer by the GT ones, in your case the CB version It is a measure well worth the effort.
They have one leaf more and this will prevent your car hanging backwards for many years. If you also renew those springs every 10-15 years it will never happen again
Shortly after renewal your car will have a slight forwards stance, this will balance out in a number of months automatically
PS Front coils may develop a batchelors lean to the drivers side, which can also be corrected, MGE had many threads on this, including posts of mine
But your B seems fine at the front and with two new rear ones any asymmetry if present will probably disappear straighaway
