Looking for opinions

One question, why would they cut the hose short for the charcoal canister and have another from the rocker just seemingly heading down to the floor ?

Thanks

Engine bay really lets it down. I paid $2,500 for mine and the engine looks better than that (when running). Also, $12k and no twin SU carbs? I like the oil bottle coolant overflow. I'd say you could get more for less elsewhere.

Mine is the wrong year but similar configuration on charcoal cannister. The hose in question hooks to the valve cover on my car, it looks like it is just hanging out there on this one. That would seem to be a potential vacuum leak, but I don't know Webers well enough to know how it would be effected. Car seems a bit steep on the price side, for almost $14K I would expect more originality and less wear even on an older restoration. Could be the photos though, tough to judge condition from pictures.

Yup. Too much money for not enough car.

Have your pal take a look thru the cars for sale on this site to get a warm fuzzy regarding cost and condition.

That's big money for a 72
Something is up with the ride height
1000rpm idle and a weber DD

Typical dealer markup for what can be had for less
I'd have him shop around more
Midwest rustbelt
"only a limited amount left these days."
Ha ha typical dealer fluffery

Your comment made me look at the pics again. Shut line on passenger trunk looks kinked.

In addition to the other comments I would point out the earlier seats with no headrest. I get the classic look but for me that is a hugely important safety consideration.

fuel tank is almost empty run away. devil smiley

now, the ride height looks wrong, I suspect the evap hose configuration is due to installing the fancy pants rocker cover. also this cover install did not address the heater return tube properly.

Looks a nice enough car, seems a tad $$

Too many needs, for that price. I do like the after market seats, I think they are from GTS, if so, you can get headrests for those if desired. I like them as is though. Tim

As others have pointed out - seats are wrong for the year, and the Weber is not original equipment and less desirable than the twin SU HIF4s that were original to the car.
When I bought my '72 three years ago, I paid $5.500, with the original/proper seats, new leather interior, Weber carb, and in better condition.

At that price I would expect a two for one sale and you'd still be over paying.

Way overpriced. The grille is not correct for a '72. In fact there is very little about this car that is original. Now if that doesn't matter to you I still think you can find better for half the price.

Judging from the vin tag it could be a later B
Papered as a 72

The vin tag doesn't look correct. It's lose on one end and may have been moved to a different body shell.
