Returning home tonight from a solo cruise, I was thinking about how wonderful this forum is.
Over the past five years, you guys have been an invaluable source of help. If it wasn't for your knowledge and generosity, I would never have gotten as far as I have in this hobby. I know that I probably drive you all crazy with my mundane questions, and am thankful for the patience that has been extended.
I see this hobby as so much more than just the cars. It is a bond that brings people together from all over the country, or the world for that matter, and work together for a common goal. Keep being awesome, guys!

Yep.
I belong to several forums concerning everything to aircraft to BBQ. Subaru to Shooting. I'm relatively new to the MG world and this site and the people who make it have been an invaluable source of info and motivation. Although there's a little bickering and some barbs thrown every once and awhile...it's a very friendly forum in comparison to others I visit.
I've said it before. If anyone ever finds themselves nearby driving or in for the EAA...drop me a line. I've got a cold beer waiting!

73 MGB. Tires: Round, black, hold air. Oil: Sometimes old, sometimes new...always slippery. Oil filter: Yellow, usually full of oil. Carbs: 2 SU HIF. Distributor: Yes. Headlights: Not that bright but bright enough. A bunch of other stuff most cars have but not really important enough to itemize. Oh, wait...it has a cool sounding exhaust with stickers on the chrome tips. Really slays the ladies...

X2 to the second power, every time I tell someone about how good a MG is the first thing I tell them is about how great the support I get from you guys is. The second thing I tell them is how cheap and plentiful the parts are. I shopped around a while before I bought a play car and I think I made the right decision.

Yeah......(except for a couple of guys)
I wish I knew as much today as I did when I was 18........

Even the persnickety guys get hugs, too. There are some people here who often annoy me and others but I always want to know what they have to say because they bring a unique and valued perspective to the conversation. In my three and a half years here there have only been a couple of times that I remember when somebody behaved badly enough to get voted off the island. Those that have stayed around are always invited to the pub for beers after a day in the garage.

And I've found as I travel around this great land that when I get to meet you guys face to face you are fine people. One of the reasons I post during and about my major road trips is to meet folks for a meal as I pass through your neighborhood.
I'll be touring New England and the Maritimes after MG 2015 so I hope to meet a few more of ya'll in June.
Don't postpone joy
